After what seems like forever, after a trip to Tennessee, jury duty, press checks, estimating the entire 2009 printing season for a client, endless meetings and Easter. Christi and I have finally ended up back in Yorba Linda with no particular plans this week. So we will most likely go somewhere and take photos…

A couple of weeks ago at Christi’s brothers wedding, this photo of taken of us as we walked down the dock to the yatch. I am not sure if we have ever posted a photo of me in a civilized setting and with shoes and socks before?.

Oh and for you people who are stunned right now by the appearance of a suit, note this I have several!

I love the music from this lady, she has some of the best rebel songs since the Clash and she is the real deal, daughter of a Tamil rebel. Besides how can you not like a song that has the riff from the Clash song “Go Straight to Hell” and automatic weapons all in the same musical package?

Desks / Music / PhotoShop…

If I am stuck at my desk (and that is a big IF, I hate desks).
My cell phone is on vibrate and is in my lap, clients, friends know they should only call my cell phone and the secretaries put all my calls straight through to my cell for two reasons
1. I am most likely not at my desk.
2. I generally am plugged into iTunes if I am at a desk so unless my cell vibrates I am going to ignore my land lines here and at home.
My current favorite station on itunes is Kink FM from Germany (it is under Alternative) one of the songs I like best right now is Endlich Ein Grund Zur Panik by Wir Sind Helden for the non-German speaking crowd that is Finally a reason to Panic by We Are Heros. It is written in protest of the “G8″ conferences.

But at this moment I am editing a recent photo shoot. I need a certain rhythm to do endless hours of PhotoShop and no ambient sound, this is my current photo editing work set.

In the middle of nowhere

At least once a month Christi and I head to Yucca Valley and stay at the Desert View Hotel we have been going there for years, through the cheesy blue shag carpet and the gold furniture to the recently remodeled rooms. We wake up in the morning and either head into Joshua Tree National Park or head in a random direction and see what we discover. Like this photo, on a random dirt road there is an old outboard fishing boat and inside was this 3rd grade plastic chair, I liked the light… Also the really big news out there is we now have Japanese Food! The Sushi and Shasimi are excellent and Christi loves the Sushi chef he gave her huge portions of her favorite, Tako (octopus) check them out next time your in the Yucca Valley “Kimi Grill”.
